Khomeini celebrates the day of Neyrouz. He recommends bathing and prescribes fasting:
And amongst the recommended bathing days are the days of the two ‘Id and the day of Neyrouz.[1]
He has thus equated Neyrouz with the two days ‘Id of the Muslims. He also equates it to the day of Ghadir which they say is a part of Islam:
Amongst the recommended fasting days is the Day of Ghadir on the 18th of Dhu al Hijjah and the day of Neyrouz.[2]
