Your wasi is the leader of the Awsiya’: ‘Ali ibn Abi Talib

Ibn ‘Umar reports: One day while Rasulullah salla Llahu ‘alayhi wa sallam was sitting, Jibril al Ruh al Amin suddenly descended and said, “O Muhammad! The Rabb of Honour conveys salam to you and declares that when He took the covenant of the Prophets, He took your covenant from the back of Adam and made you the leader of the Prophets and your wasi the leader of the Awsiya’: ‘Ali ibn Abi Talib.

Hafiz reports that al Daraqutni said, “This is a mawdu’ hadith. and between Malik and Abu Talib there are da’if narrators.”[1]
