والله لقد عرفت أن عليا أحب إليك من أبي و مني
By Allah I acknowledge that ‘Ali is more beloved to you than my father and I.
Alleged statement of Sayyidah ‘Aisha radiya Llahu ‘anha to Rasulullah salla Llahu ‘alayhi wa sallam.
Al Albani labelled it da’if.[1]
Further, this statement of hers contradicts Rasulullah salla Llahu ‘alayhi wa sallam affirmation of her being the most beloved woman to him and her father being the most beloved man.
