نزلت هذه الآية وَالَّذِيْ جَاءَ بِالصِّدْقِ وَصَدَّقَ بِهِ في علي

This verse: And the one who has brought the truth and [they who] believed in it[1] was revealed in favour of ‘Ali

The narration is munkar.

Ibn Mujahid ‘Abdul Wahhab

Extremely da’if.

Layth is his tabi’ from Ibn Mujahid.

However, Layth himself is da’if as well.
He is ibn Abi Sulaim. He was afflicted with ikhtilat (disorientation).

Mansur opposes them and says:

عن مجاهد وَالَّذِيْ جَاءَ بِالصِّدْقِ وَصَدَّقَ بِهِ الذين يجيئون بالقرآن يوم القيامة فيقولون هذا الذي أعطيتمونا فاتبعنا ما فيه

From Mujahid: And the one who has brought the truth and [they who] believed in it those who will bring the Qur’an on the Day of Qiyamah and say: this is what you gave us and we followed what was in it.

Ibn Jarir al Tabari documented it via a sahih isnad.^[2]
