It is inscribed on the door of Jannat
مكتوب على باب الجنة لا إله إلا الله محمد رسول الله علي أخو رسول الله
It is inscribed on the door of Jannat: There is no deity besides Allah; Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah; ‘Ali is the brother of Rasulullah salla Llahu ‘alayhi wa sallam.
Al Haythami says, “Al Tabarani narrated it in al Awsat. Ash’ath the cousin of al Hassan ibn Salih is da’if and I do not recognise him.”[1]
Hafiz also mentioned that the problem lies with Ash’ath the cousin of al Hassan ibn Salih.
Ash’ath
- He is an extreme shia.
- Al Daraqutni labelled him matruk (suspected of forgery).[2]
