لولاك ما عرف المؤمنون من بعدي.
Had it not been for you, the believers would have been unknown after me.
Ibn al Maghazili narrates — Ibrahim ibn Ghassan al Basri informed us ijazatan (he authorized to transmit this hadith) — Abu ‘Ali al Hussain ibn Ahmed narrated to them — ‘Abdullah ibn Ahmed ibn ‘Amir al Taʾi narrated to us — my father, Ahmed ibn ‘Amir narrated to us — ‘Ali ibn Musa al Rida narrated to us — my father, Musa ibn Jafar narrated to me — my father, Jafar ibn Muhammad narrated to me — my father, Muhammad ibn ‘Ali narrated to me — my father, ‘Ali ibn Hussain narrated to me — my father, Hussain ibn ‘Ali narrated to me — my father, ‘Ali ibn Abi Talib radiya Llahu ‘anhu narrated to me, “The Messenger of Allah salla Llahu ‘alayhi wa sallam said…”[1]
This hadith is a fabrication and a lie. Al Dhahabi writes, “‘Abdullah ibn Ahmed ‘Amir narrates from his father — from ‘Ali al Rida — from his forefathers that false fabricated hadith. He (i.e. ‘Abdullah ibn Ahmed ‘Amir) fabricated it or his father. Hassan ibn ‘Ali al Zuhri says that he (i.e. ‘Abdullah ibn Ahmed ‘Amir) was illiterate and he was not satisfactory (in hadith).”[2]
