Hadith 174: There will be a fitnah (strife) after me. When it occurs, keep to to ‘Ali ibn Abi Talib; for he was the first person to see me and the first person to greet me on the Day of Resurrection. He is with me in the highest heaven. He is the faruq (differentiator) between truth and falsehood.

Hadith 175
(Jabir ibn ‘Abdullah said,) “I heard ‘Ali reciting the following couplets while the Messenger of Allah salla Llahu ‘alayhi wa sallam was listening:
I am the brother of al Mustafa; there is no doubt regarding my lineage;
I grew up with him and his two grandchildren are my sons;
My grandfather and the grandfather of the Messenger of Allah is one;
And Fatimah is my wife; no statement can refute this;
I believed in him while all of creation was carrying on and practicing misguidance, shirk (polytheism), and (in) adversity;
All praise and thanks is for Allah, He has no partner; (He is) al Barr (One who is gentle) with His servants, and (He is) al Baqi (One who always existed and who will never cease to be) without any end (eternal).
This hadith is narrated by Abu Nuaim (and Ibn ‘Asakir in a similar manner) — ‘Abdullah ibn ‘Abdul Wahhab narrated to us (I read to him from his original work) — ‘Abdullah ibn Ishaq Abu Muhammad al Khurasani narrated to us in Baghdad — Muhammad ibn Abi Ya’qub al Dinawari narrated to us — ‘Abdullah ibn Muhammad al Balawi narrated to us — ‘Umarah ibn Zaid narrated to us — Bakr ibn Harithah narrated to me — from al Zuhri — from ‘Abdul Rahman ibn Ka’b ibn Malik — from Jabir ibn ‘Abdullah…[1]
Ibn ‘Asakir narrates this hadith — Abu Bakr Muhammad ibn ‘Abdul Baqi informed us — Abu Muhammad al Jawhari informed us imlaʾan (he dictated to us) — Abu al Hussain Muhammad ibn al Muzaffar ibn Musa al Hafiz informed us — Abu al Hassan ‘Ali ibn Ahmed ibn Marwan al Misri informed us — al Zubair ibn Bakkar informed us — Bakr ibn Harithah narrated to me the hadith…[2]
Ibn ‘Asakir added in the narration, “So the Messenger of Allah smiled and said, ‘You have spoken the truth, O ‘Ali.’”
Al Dhahabi and Ibn Hajar said, “Al Daraqutni said regarding ‘Abdullah ibn Muhammad al Balwa from ‘Ammar ibn Yazid, ‘He fabricates hadith (i.e. ‘Abdullah ibn Muhammad al Balwa).’”[3]
In Lisan al Mizan the name appears as ‘‘Umarah ibn Zaid.’
It remains to be seen who this person is.
I could not trace Bakr ibn Harithah.
