Hadith 138

When the Prophet salla Llahu ‘alayhi wa sallam was taken (to the Heavens) and then subsequently returned to the earth, some time had passed. Thereafter, Fatimah came to the Prophet salla Llahu ‘alayhi wa sallam and said, “May my father and mother be sacrificed for you, O Messenger of Allah, what did you see regarding me?” He said, “O Fatimah, you are the best of women, the sayyidah (leader) of the women of Jannat.” She said, “O my beloved father, what about ‘Ali?” He said, “A man from the inhabitants of Jannat.” She said, “O my beloved father, what about al Hassan and al Hussain?” He said, “They are the sayyids (leaders) of the youth of Jannat.” Thereafter, ‘Ali came to the Prophet salla Llahu ‘alayhi wa sallam and said, “What did you see regarding me?” He said, “You, Hassan, Hussain, and I will be under a dome (made) from pearls; its foundation is from the mercy of Allah and its sides are from the nur (light) of Allah. It is situated under the ‘Arsh (Throne) of Allah, O Ibn Abi Talib, and between you and the glory of Allah. You will hear a voice and speech which cannot be comprehended; people will be consumed by sweat. There will be a crown on your head (made) from nur (light); it will illuminate the entire land of Resurrection. You will stride in two pieces of adornment: a green adornment, and a rose adornment. You and I were all created from one clay.”

This hadith is narrated by Abu Nuaim and Ibn Shahin from Ahmed ibn Muhammad ibn Yazid al Za’farani — Abu Yusuf Ya’qub ibn Dinar narrated to us — ‘Uthman ibn Abi Shaybah recorded it from me — Munabbih ibn ‘Uthman narrated to us — Ismail ibn ‘Ayyash narrated to us — I heard Yahya ibn ‘Abdullah narrating — from his father — I heard Abu Hurairah…[1]

This hadith is munkar (unacceptable) and batil (false).

Yahya ibn ‘Ubaidullah ibn ‘Abdullah ibn Mawhib al Taymi al Madani is matruk (suspected of forgery). In fact, al Hakim Abu ‘Abdullah said he fabricated hadith.[2]

Regarding Ya’qub ibn Dinar, al Dhahabi, and Ibn Hajar said, “Ya’qub ibn Dinar from Munabbih ibn ‘Uthman is unknown. Some have accused him of fabricating hadith.”[3]
