يا علي إن الله عز وجل قد غفر لك، ولأهلك، ولشيعتك، ولمحبي شيعتك، فأبشر، فإنك الأنزع البطين، المنزوع من الشرك، البطين من العلم.
O ‘Ali, verily Allah subhanahu wa ta ‘ala has forgiven you, your family, your followers, and the admirers of your followers. Rejoice, for verily you are al Anza’ al Batin, free from polytheism, and you possess abundant knowledge.
Ibn al Maghazili narrates this hadith — Abu Ishaq ibn Ghassan al Daqqaq al Basri informed us (in what he wrote to me) — Abu ‘Ali al Hussain ibn Ahmed ibn Muhammad narrated to us — Abu al Qasim ‘Abdullah ibn Ahmed ibn ‘Amir al Taʾi narrated to us — my father narrated to us — Abu al Hassan ‘Ali ibn Musa al Rida narrated to me — my father, Musa ibn Jafar narrated to me — my father, Jafar ibn Muhammad narrated to me — my father, Muhammad ibn ‘Ali narrated to me — my father, ‘Ali ibn al Hussain narrated to me — my father, al Hussain ibn ‘Ali narrated to me — my father, ‘Ali ibn Abi Talib radiya Llahu ‘anhu narrated to me and said, “The Messenger of Allah salla Llahu ‘alayhi wa sallam said…”[1]
This hadith is mawdu’ (fabricated) and evidently munkar (unacceptable).
Al Dhahabi writes, “‘Abdullah ibn Ahmed ibn ‘Amir (narrates), from his father, from ‘Ali al Rida, from his forefathers unacceptable reports; he is responsible for fabricating it, or his father. Al Hassan ibn ‘Ali al Zuhri said, ‘He (i.e. ‘Abdullah ibn Ahmed ibn ‘Amir) was illiterate and he was not satisfactory (in hadith).’”[2]
