Hadith 123

كنت عند النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، فسئل عن علي، فقال: قسمت الحكم عشرة أجزاء، فأعطي علي تسعة أجزاء، والناس جزء واحدا.

I was with the Prophet salla Llahu ‘alayhi wa sallam when he was asked about ‘Ali. He said, “Wisdom was divided into ten parts; ‘Ali was given nine parts and everyone else shared the remaining one part.”

Abu Nuaim narrates this hadith from Ibn Mas’ud.[1]

I have explained that this hadith is mawdu’ (fabricated) in my refutation against al Ghumari when he authenticated the hadith “I am the city of knowledge…” There is no need to repeat it here.
