The Prophet salla Llahu ‘alayhi wa sallam said, “When I was lifted to the heavens I entered the Paradise of Eden and an apple was placed on my shoulder. (He said,) The apple split by the beauty of the maiden in Jannat; whose eyelids were like feathers of an eagle. I asked, ‘Who do you belong to?’ She said, ‘I belong to the murdered Khalifah that will come after you. I belong to ‘Uthman Ibn ‘Affan.’”[1]

[1] The narration is Mawdu’ (fabricated). Ibn al Jawzi narrates in al Mawdu’at (1/246-247) and he went at length in gathering all the alternate chains of transmissions, after which he said, “This narration is not authentically reported from the Messenger of Allah salla Llahu ‘alayhi wa sallam.” I say: ‘Abdul Rahman ibn ‘Affan is a liar. Mizan al i’tidal 4/304.
