Verily Allah has made incumbent upon you the love of Abu Bakr, ‘Umar, ‘Uthman, and ‘Ali just as He made incumbent upon you salah, fasting, hajj, and Zakat (alms-giving). Whoever hates one of them, he has no salah, no fasting, no hajj, and no Zakat, and he will be raised on the Day of Resurrection from his grave (and taken) to the Fire.
Ibn ‘Asakir narrates this hadith — from Ahmed ibn Nasr ibn ‘Abdullah al Dhari’ in Nahrawan — my maternal grandfather, Sadaqah ibn Musa ibn Tamim narrated to us — Ahmed ibn Jamil narrated to us — ‘Abdul Razzaq narrated to us — from Ma’mar — from al Zuhri — from Nafi’ — from Ibn ‘Umar who said, “The Messenger of Allah salla Llahu ‘alayhi wa sallam said…”
This hadith is mawdu’ (fabricated).
Al Dhari’ is a kadhdhab (liar).
Ibn ‘Iraq mentions this hadith in his work on fabrications.[1]
