Hadith 188: On the Day of Resurrection, Abu Bakr will be upon one of the pillars of the Hawd (Pond), ‘Umar will be on the second, ‘Uthman on the third, and ‘Ali on the fourth. Whoever shows hatred towards one of them, the other will not give him to drink.

Hadith 189

غسلت النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، فشربت ماء محاجر عينيه، فورثت علم الأولين والآخرين.

I washed the Prophet salla Llahu ‘alayhi wa sallam and drank the water from the orbits of his eyes. On account of this, I inherited the knowledge of the first and last people.

 


(Narrated) from ‘Ali radiya Llahu ‘anhu.

Al Nawawi said that this hadith is not sahih (authentic).

Al Shawkani mentions this hadith in his work of fabrications.[1]

It also appears in al Maqasid al Hassanah, Kashf al Khafaʾ, al Tadhkirah, al Masnu’ fi Ma’rifat al Hadith al Mawdu’, al Luʾluʾ al Marsu’ fima la Asl lahu aw bi Aslihi Mawdu’, and al Asrar al Marfu’ah.[2]
