During this discussion, we acquainted ourselves with the verses of the Noble Qur’an and we paid attention throughout to the testimony of Allah subhanahu wa ta ‘ala in favour of the Sahabah radiya Llahu ‘anhum of the Nabi salla Llahu ‘alayhi wa sallam with regard to the pure Iman in their hearts, sincerity in their good deeds, and honesty in their worship as well as the praise of Allah subhanahu wa ta ‘ala for emigrating, fighting in the path of Allah subhanahu wa ta ‘ala, helping one another, commanding good and forbidding evil, and hastening towards good actions.
Just as we listened to the testimony of Allah subhanahu wa ta ‘ala of their righteousness, truthfulness, success and guidance.
Those are the rightly guided.[1]
Those are the truthful.[2]
And those are among the righteous.[3]
It is they who are the believers, truly.[4]
It is those who are the successful.[5]
We learn of the proclamation of Allah subhanahu wa ta ‘ala that He is happy with the Sahabah radiya Llahu ‘anhum and has forgiven their misjudgements:
Certainly was Allah pleased with the believers when they pledged allegiance to you under the tree.[6]
And the first forerunners among the Muhajirin and the Ansar and those who followed them with good conduct – Allah is pleased with them and they are pleased with Him.[7]
Allah has already forgiven the Prophet and the Muhajirin and the Ansar who followed him in the hour of difficulty.[8]
And He has already forgiven you, and Allah is the possessor of bounty for the believers.[9]
We see the promise of Allah subhanahu wa ta ‘ala of the best rewards and everlasting pleasure in gardens of bliss:
And to all Allah has promised the best reward.[10]
For them is forgiveness and noble provision.[11]
Their Lord gives them good tidings of mercy from Him and approval and of gardens for them wherein is enduring pleasure.[12]
Allah has prepared for them gardens beneath which rivers flow.[13]
We realised how the glad tidings of Jannat from Allah subhanahu wa ta ‘ala absolves the Sahabah radiya Llahu ‘anhum from hypocrisy, which the liars accuse them of. Otherwise, believing such would imply that there is contradiction in the word of Allah subhanahu wa ta ‘ala! Verily Allah subhanahu wa ta ‘ala is high above such irrationality.
Allah subhanahu wa ta ‘ala says:
Indeed, the hypocrites will be in the lowest depths of the Fire – and never will you find for them a helper.[14]
Allah subhanahu wa ta ‘ala says:
But the Messenger and those who believed with him fought with their wealth and their lives. Those will have [all that is] good and it is those who are the successful. Allah has prepared for them gardens beneath which rivers flow, wherein they will abide eternally. That is the great attainment.[15]
We realised that the Sahabah radiya Llahu ‘anhum were a considerable number, which was of tremendous assistance, and not few individuals like how the ignorant claim:
It is He who supported you with His help and with the believers.[16]
Already there has been for you a sign in the two armies which met [in combat at Badr] – one fighting in the cause of Allah and another of disbelievers.[17]
And [remember] when you left your family in the morning to post the believers at their stations for the battle [of Uhud].[18]
Certainly was Allah pleased with the believers when they pledged allegiance to you under the tree.[19]
Allah has already forgiven the Prophet and the Muhajirin and the Ansar who followed him in the hour of difficulty.[20]
We witnessed how Allah subhanahu wa ta ‘ala fulfilled His promise to the Sahabah radiya Llahu ‘anhum by granting them authority on the earth, conquering the East and the West:
Allah has promised those who have believed among you and done righteous deeds that He will surely grant them succession [to authority] upon the earth just as He granted it to those before them and that He will surely establish for them [therein] their religion which He has preferred for them and that He will surely substitute for them, after their fear, security, [for] they worship Me, not associating anything with Me. But whoever disbelieves after that – then those are the defiantly disobedient.[21]
We clearly defined the belief of the believers in relation to the Sahabah radiya Llahu ‘anhum regarding following them with goodness and accepting that which Allah subhanahu wa ta ‘ala praised them for as well as seeking forgiveness for them and being pleased with them, and finally not believing in their infallibility.
And those who come after them, saying, “Our Lord, forgive us and our brothers who preceded us in faith and put not in our hearts [any] resentment toward those who have believed. Our Lord, indeed, You are Kind and Merciful.”[22]
Lastly, we turned towards the discussion of the slander against Sayyidah Aisha radiya Llahu `anha and we acquainted ourselves with the testimony of Allah subhanahu wa ta ‘ala absolving the mother of the believers from any wrongdoing.
Those are declared innocent of what they [i.e., slanderers] say. For them is forgiveness and noble provision.[23]
To conclude, this is the Noble Qur’an that the believers recite! The believers do not know any other Qur’an besides it. We see in its arbitrating verses that which disapproves the fabricators, uprooting their claims from its foundation.
