Many tales have been promulgated by the Shia of the alleged ‘enmity’ that existed between Sayyidina `Ali radiya Llahu `anhu and the Sahabah of the Nabi salla Llahu `alayhi wa sallam, tales which not only contradict established historic facts but conflict with the clear verses of the noble Qur’an, regarding which Allah, the Most High, has said: “Falsehood cannot approach it from before it or from behind it; a revelation from a (Rabb who is) Most Wise and Praiseworthy.” The author, Muhammad ibn `Abdullah al-`Aydarus, has gathered all those narrations which describe the true cordial, loving, and amicable relationship between Sayyidina `Ali radiya Llahu `anhu and the noble companions of Allah’s Nabi salla Llahu `alayhi wa sallam; as opposed to the distorted picture painted by the Shia.
