Hadith 36

ثلاثة ما كفروا بالله سبحانه وتعالى قط: مؤمن آل ياسين، وعلي بن أبي طالب، وآسية امرأة فرعون.

Three people have never disbelieved in Allah subhanahu wa ta ‘ala: the believer from Al Yasin, ‘Ali ibn Abi Talib, and Asiyah, the wife of Firoun.

Ibn ‘Adi narrates (and Ibn ‘Asakir in a similar manner) — Muhammad ibn Harun ibn Humaid narrated to us — Muhammad ibn al Mughirah al Shahrazuri narrated to us — Yahya ibn al Hassan al Madaʾini narrated to us — Ibn Lahi’ah narrated to us — from Abu al Zubair — from Jabir — from the Prophet salla Llahu ‘alayhi wa sallam[1]

Al Khatib also narrates this hadith from Ibn Humaid.[2]

Muhammad ibn al Mughirah al Shahrazuri fabricates hadith.

Ibn ‘Asakir also narrates this hadith with a different chain of transmission from ‘Amr ibn Jumay’ — from Ibn Abi Layla — from his brother, ‘Isa — from ‘Abdul Rahman ibn Abi Layla — from his father.[3]

‘Amr ibn Jumay’ is matruk (suspected of forgery). Yahya ibn Ma’in deemed him a kadhdhab (liar).

His teacher, Ibn Abi Layla’s name is Muhammad ibn ‘Abdul Rahman is sayyiʾ al hifz (possessing of a weak memory).

In short, the hadith is da’if jiddan (extremely weak).
