عنوان صحيفة المؤمن حب علي بن أبي طالب.
The epitome for the sahifah (book) of a believer is the love of ‘Ali ibn Abi Talib.
Al Khatib and others narrate — from Ahmed ibn Muhammad ibn Juri al ‘Ukbari in Baghdad — Ibrahim ibn ‘Abdullah ibn Mihran al Ramli narrated to us — Maymun ibn Mihran ibn Makhlad ibn Aban al Katib narrated to us — Abu al Nu’man ‘Arim ibn al Fadl narrated to us — Qudamah ibn al Nu’man narrated to us — from al Zuhri who said: ‘I heard Anas ibn Malik say: ‘By Allah, other than him whom there is no deity, indeed I heard the Messenger of Allah salla Llahu ‘alayhi wa sallam say…’”[1]
Al Khatib says the hadith of Ibn Juri contains gharaʾib (oddities) and manakir (unacceptable elements).
Ibn al Jawzi says this hadith has no basis; Ibn Juri narrates from majahil (unknown narrators).
I do not know who the narrators between Ibn Juri and ‘Arim are.
Al Dhahabi and Ibn Hajar state: “Qudamah ibn al Nu’man from al Zuhri is unknown and the report is batil (false). Furthermore, the chain of transmission up to him is muzlim (murky).”[2]
Al Dhahabi states: “I do not know who fabricated it.”[3]
Al Albani says the hadith is batil (false).[4]
Al Suyuti also mentions the hadith.[5]
